The Goddess called Love

An excerpt with some kind of poem (?) about the goddess of Love.

Once upon a time, in a land far away, there was a goddess named Love.

Love was innocent, sweet, selfless and pure. When the sun would rise, it would flatter her beauty with a warmth and glow. When it would set, the moon would sneak to the sky; as if only to greet her and bask her in it’s cool light. On days where she would walk at the shore, the tide would swell and push it’s wake across the sand; trying only to wash over her feet so it might know her touch. For an eternity Love lived, pure and innocent, cherishing the gift of the present and giving herself without expectation.

In the future present:

There are some in the world who say she has left.
They claim she is dead from an ache in her chest.
But still there are those who claim she’s been seen.
Sharing her self with a Lover serene.
Whether met at cafes or through friend of a friend;
They’ve seized the day to keep her to the end.

I choose to believe she exists everyday.
In every hello and every sweet way.
While elusive to some she’ll always endure.
Mending broken hearts to beat once more.

With love,
